Objectives: identification of prognostics factors of tympanoplasty type I in pediatric population.
Methods: Retrospective study of children between 5 to 14 years old who have done tympanoplasty type I (Portmann classification) for a period of 4 years.
Results: Of the 260 tympanoplasty made in this period in service, we reviewed 109 tympanoplasty. Surgical success was obtained in 68.8% of our population. We did not identify any surgical prognostic factor with statistical significance.
Conclusions: Tympanoplasty type I in children is a valid procedure with high success rates. It was not identified any surgical failure factor with statistical significance.
