Os tumores neuroectodérmicos primitivos (PNET) são um grupo de tumores com um comportamento muito agressivo que raramente se apresentam na região da cabeça e pescoço. Um dos factores de prognóstico mais significativo é a presença ou ausência de metástases.
O tratamento deve ser agressivo, mas o uso de quimioterapia permitiu melhorar a sobrevida a longo prazo dos doentes com este tipo de tumor. Os autores descrevem o caso clínico de um doente com um tumor neuroectodérmico periférico (Grupo Ewing/ PNET) localizado na nasofaringe com extensão aos seios peri-nasais.
