Primitive neuroectodermal tumors (PNET) are a group of highly aggressive tumors which are rare in the head and neck region. There are several prognostic factors but one of the most important is the presence or absence of metastatic disease.
The treatment must be aggressive, as the use of chemotherapy regimens has significantly improved outcomes in these patients. The authors present a clinical case of a patient with a peripheral primitive neuroectodermal tumor (EwingI PNET Group) located in the nasopharynx and paranasal sinuses.
