Abstract

Objective: Facial aesthetic analysis’ approach in patients who had undergone rhinoplasty at CUF Infante Santo Hospital.

Methods: papers’ review of facial aesthetic approach. It was used in the facial analysis, photographic analysis of the front, base, oblique and profile. It was also used three-dimensional computed tomography (TC 3D) of the face.

Results: In the aesthetic subunits of the face and nose were analyzed: nasofacial angles, size and position of different elements of the nose and the relationship between nose and other facial structures. In surgical aesthetic approach of the nose, TC 3D allows the visualization of the nasal inner constitution and subcutaneous tissues that cause deformities of the nose.

Conclusion: The traditional analysis of facial aesthetics is essential along with TC 3D, in order to create a more aesthetically balanced and functioning nose.
