The authors carried out a retrospective study based on the clinical processes of 21 children followed for laryngomalacia in the Service of ORL, CHVNG/E - EPE, between January of 2003 and January of 2009. The objective was to define the population, characterize the disease, and value the setup treatment and the infiuence of the presence of co-morbidities. The characteristics of the disease were similar to that described in the literature. lt was registered a high incidence of gastro esophageal refiux. Anti-refiux treatment was prescribed in 62 % of the cases with clinical improvement and surgery (supraglottoplasty with laser CO2} was performed in 29% without registered complications. lt was conclude that the children followed in the Service do not refiect the incidence of this pathology in this geographical area. lt is advised to consider nasofibrolaryngoscopy as the technique of choice in the diagnosis of the laryngomalacia.
