Perception of music in patients with auditory bimodal stimulation

The aim of this study was to evaluate the improvement of music perception ability in cochlear implant patients that maintain profitable residual hearing on the opposite side of implanted ear by fitting a hearing aid. We present the preliminary results of a study of the perception of music in patients implanted with bimodal stimulation, which involves the ENT Departments in 9 European hospitals: Lyon, Brescia, Tygerberg, LIZA/Antwerp, Frankfurt, Pisa, Ankara, Istanbul and ENT Department of the Centro Hospitalar de Coimbra.
