Material and Methods: We carried out an analysis in 67 patients who underwent vocal therapy in our hospital during a year by functional or organic-functional dysphonia.
Results: The average percentage of attendance to the programmed sessions was of 70,42%.We find associations between a greater percentage of attendance and a greater age, feminine sex and a greater score of the anxiety scale. Vocal therapy was effective in 75% of the patients. If we grouped the patients according to use the voice or not in the work, the first one obtain a greater benefit of the treatment.
Conclusion: The professionals of the voice are those that greater benefit obtain in the vocal therapy, since their interest and motivation by the treatment are greater, reason why we must give priority to them.
