Abstract

Solitary fibrous tumour is o rare neoplasm described for the first time in the pleura (1931) and also reported during the post years in the head and neck area.

The authors describe a case of solitary fibrous tumour involving ethmoid, sphenoid and left nasal cavity, with orbital invasion and extension to the anterior

cranial fossa, in a 57-yeor-old woman with o 4 month history of recurrent epistoxis and modest nasal symptoms

The tumour was totally removed by surgery. Histopathologically the lesion was found to be a solitary fibrous tumour. The patient remain free of tumour 18 month ofter surgery.
