Introduction: Myoepitheliomas (ME) are rare benign tumors that derive from ectodermal cells present in salivary glands (SG) and other secretory organs. These tumors usually affect the major GS and ME of minor GS are very rare.
Case Report: We report a case of a 49-year-old patient referred to the Otorhinolaryngology consultation for progressive complaints of snoring with apnea since the last 4 months. The physical exam revealed a 2cm oval mass located in the right half of the hard palate.
Imagiological exams confirmed the presence of a palatal mass without any signs of adjacent bone erosion. The lesion was surgically excised and histopathology showed a plasmacytoid myoepithelioma of the palate minor GS.
Discussion/Conclusion: ME are rare tumors that typically manifest as slow-growing asymptomatic lesions. Other GS tumors such as pleomorphic adenoma should be considered in differential diagnoses of these lesions.
