Best paper prize for papers published vol. 64, no. 2, June, 2026
The best paper published in the edition nº 2, volume 64, June 2026 of the Portuguese Journal of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, was chosen through voting by the 17 members of the Scientific Council and the 91 members of the Journal's Editorial Board. A total of 27 votes were cast.
Following the vote for the Best Article Award, two articles tied for first place, each receiving 5 votes: “Evaluation of the quality of life of patients undergoing septoplasty under local anesthesia: a prospective study”, by Filipe V. Jacinto, Diana Ribeiro, César Anjo, Luís Freitas, Ilídio Gonçalves, and “Proposed diagnostic algorithm for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma with an occult primary tumor: an evidencebased approach”, by Diogo Cunha-Cabral, Pedro Marques Gomes, José Pedro Pereira, André Alves Carção, Nuno Oliveira, Marta Vilaça, Gustavo Lopes, José Ferreira Penêda.
