Conflict of Interest and Financing Support

A conflict of interest is considered to exist when an author or the author's institution maintains financial or personal relationships with other people or organizations that may inappropriately influence their actions. Financial relationships are easily identifiable, but conflicts can also occur due to personal relationships, academic competition or intellectual passion. Examples of financial conflicts include employment, consulting, stock ownership, fees, expert testimonials, patents or patent applications and travel grants. A conflict can be real or potential, and full disclosure to the editor must be made.

The rigor and accuracy of the contents, as well as the opinions expressed are the sole responsibility of the Authors. In order to prevent ambiguity, the authors, whenever they consider relevant, must declare potential conflicts of interest, as well as disclose all financial and personal relationships that may bias the work.

In this pursuit, authors must complete the Form in accordance with ICMJE - Disclosure of Potential Conflicts of Interest available at: http://www.icmje.org/ and send to the Editor.

This information will be kept confidential during the review of the manuscript and will not influence the editorial decision, but will be published if the article is accepted.

If the authors have doubts about what constitutes a relevant financial or personal interest, they should contact the editor.

If there is no conflict of interest, the authors must state this fact.

If it exists, the name of the sponsors or source of funding for the study must also be indicated.
