Lesões leucoplásicas das cordas vocais: Preditor de malignidade?

O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar fatores clínicos e anatomopatológicos e a sua relação com recorrência ou malignidade em doentes com lesões leucoplásicas das cordas vocais. Realizou-se uma análise retrospetiva dos processos clínicos dos doentes submetidos a microcirurgia laríngea para exérese de lesões leucoplásicas das cordas vocais, entre 2017 e 2019. A amostra do estudo foi constituída por 56 doentes, 54 dos quais do sexo masculino e 2 do sexo feminino, sendo a idade média de 61,6 ± 6,9 anos. O grau de displasia e a extensão da leucoplasia revelaram diferenças estatisticamente significativas (p < 0,05) no teste Fisher e teste X2 tanto no risco de malignidade e no risco de recorrência após exérese. Não houve outras diferenças estatisticamente significativas a reportar. Estes resultados, sugerem que a extensão da leucoplasia e o grau de displasia sejam fatores preditores para o risco de malignidade e de recorrência.
