Papiloma Schneideriano Exofítico - A propósito de um caso clínico

A mucosa respiratória, ciliada, de origem ectodérmica, que reveste a cavidade nasal e os seios perinasais, também designada de membrana schneideriana pode originar três papilomas morfologicamente distintos. Individualmente designados de papiloma schneideriano exofítico, invertido e oncocítico ou, colectivamente, papilomas schneiderianos. Apresenta-se um caso de papiloma schneideriano exofítico com origem no septo nasal e envolvendo o seio esfenoidal e as células etmoidais posteriores. Adoptou-se uma abordagem endoscópica para remoção completa do tumor. Apresenta-se, ainda, uma análise retrospectiva de 19 pacientes observados na nossa instituição nos últimos 10 anos com diagnóstico de papiloma schneideriano.
